TV Issue and Version Rules
As we already know that, especially tekken 6 has problems with imput lag on different TVs. no matter on what TV we play, there we be Always someone who will complain about Timing and Lag.
This Time we will use 16 Iiyama HD Monitors with 0 lag. This Iiyama Model "iiyama prolite 2210HDS" was tested by the top Players and selected as the best monitors for Tekken 6. This model was used in all top tekken 6 Tournaments in Europe like UT and Recently Tekken Italia Tournament.
For SSF4, we will have 16 other Monitors which are 100% lag free as well, managed by our partners from ffm Rumble and Neutrons Crew who are pro gamers for 2D games in Germany.
For both Tournaments, we will use the PAL Version of the game.
Tourney Format
The format for Tekken 6 and SSF4 will be as usual and will begin with groups and then a double elimination knockout stage.
we estimate to welcome more than 128 Players for each Tournament. So we will be forced to manage 16 Groups and a 64-Double-Elemination Bracket.
Venue and Players Rules
- We ask that all players conduct themselves in a professional, organized and responsible manner whilst at the venue
- We would appreciate if players did not consume alcohol on site and if smokers could smoke in designated smoking areas only
- Please do not disappear when you know you will have to play soon as this will prolong the tournament and we will be up against the clock like all tournaments
- Be a sportsman and shake your opponents hand before or after the match to maintain a good vibe in the tournament. We can appreciate that you are all there to win but you are all also there to have fun and enjoy yourselves too
- Buttons are to be set before the match, group organizers should supervise this
- No physical or verbal distracting of opponents during matches. This will result in match forfeit

Tournament Rules:
TEKKEN 6
- Double Elimination
- 60 Seconds
- Best of 5 rounds per game
-Motion Blur: OFF
- Stages: first stage random, then loser chose the next stage
- Group Stage: Best of 3 games, best of 5 rounds
- Knockout Stage: Best of 5 games, best of 5 rounds
- Grand Finals: Best of 7 games, best of 5 rounds
- Groups: If 2 or more players have the same Total Points at the end, the difference of the winning/losing games will be compared between the players first. If it is still equal, then the player who beat his opponent in the Group comes first. If in some cases (for 3 and more players having same total games), a rematch between the players is required inorder to define the ranking in the Group.
NEW RULES:
After watching/participating/attending a lot of tekken 6 Tournaments, i was very often disappointed to see top players picking up their 15th main char and spamming random stuff ONLY because he knows that the opponent, who is a top player as well, has no experience against that char. This occur to a really random, newbie and ugly matches.
I know players should have no excuses not knowing all chars" but come on?! Who will know all 40 chars?? Even top Asians lack experience against many chars.
So to avoid this kind of randomness, we will add new rules for the characters:
- Every Player can only pick up 2 Characters for the whole Tournament, first main and second main
- Every Player must define his 2 characters when he sings up in the forum.
- Both characters will be displayed next to the players name in the sign up list. So all participants can see which characters are common in the tournament and which are not. So they can practice and focus more on those chars.
- Every Player must pick up main character number one, first" and only after losing, he may change to character number 2.
- Winner cannot change character. Only loser can change to character number 2.
- If the player lost again with his second main, he can of course switch back to his first main character.
SSF4:
Regulations:
- all characters are allowed.
- change of character after a lost match is allowed.
- blind pick is available on request.
- Interruption of tournament play by external influences (technology, etc.), the current round must be played again.
- unsportsmanlike can also lead to disqualification.
Group stage:
in the group stage everyone plays against each best of 3 rounds, best of 3 matches. each won is one match point for a finishing position in the group. If two players at the end has equal points, the winner is decided by the direct comparison . the best four competitors in each group will continue to the double-elimination phase. the lower-placed are out.
double-elimination phase:
best of 3 rounds, best of 5 matches up to semi finals. from winners / losers finals then best of 3 rounds, best of 7 matches. The player who is coming from the looser bracket into the grand-final needs to win two complete sets.

Event Schedule:
For the first time, Damagermany will be a 2-days event" Actually 3 days. We have now a lot of experience after organizing a lot of tournaments" and we concluded that, no matter how organized and prepared we were, we were never be able to finish a 160-man tournaments before 6 am the next day. And we are aware that this is the most common complaints of the players. Since we want to organize the best tournament FOR the players" We decided to split the tournaments in 2 days. Not only for the tournaments, but also for freeplay. Since Freeplay is for all players the most important thing in such event. We are also aware that many players have jobs or school and don´t prefer to take extra holiday on Friday, but you will notice that it still possible to attend the event on Friday after your work. So this is how the Schedule will be:
*Friday 18th March:
-15:00: Doors open
15:00-19:00 : Casuals and Warm up
19:00- 01:00 : Tournament starts. Groups/Pools for Tekken 6 and SSF4
You may notice that the tournament will start late in the evening. Not only that, for the players who must work and could not arrive sooner, they are not forced to show up at 19:00, they still be able to show up till 23:00 in the night and play their group matches. The disadvantage of coming so late is that they are not able to warm up before. The players who don´t appear till 23:00, they will be disqualified.
*Saturday 19th March:
12:00 : Doors open
13:00-20:00 : 64 Double Elemination Brackets start (Tekken 6 and SSF 4)
20:00-23:00 : Semi-Finals and Finals LB and WB (Tekken 6 and SSF 4)
23:00-00:00 : Award Ceremony
00:00-07:00 (Sunday): Casuals and Freeplay .
As you noticed, The tourney will start at around 1pm on the 19th and simply spill over to the 20th wrapping the last of the freeplay up and leaving the venue at around 7:00am
if you need a place to stay some players living around the Frankfurt area are open to hosting and have kindly offered to do so. However this is on a first come, first serve basis and I imagine places are sparse so please state in your post if you will need a place to stay.
- Cheap Accomodation for DamagermanY: once again, DamagermanY is trying to manage a cheap Hostel for all players who are attending the event. Last time, the Hostel that we had was so chaotic and not professional at all, so we were looking for other Hostel nearby, and we found a looooot better/cleaner/newer one, 2 minutes walk from the old Hostel. We are in touch with them and we will give you all details as soon as possible. We hope that the prizes will not be more than 16 euro a night. So stay tuned.
Entry Fee
This time we really want to avoid any strangers or idiots among the players who just enter the venue for free and may bother us. Also because it´s a 3 day event, we will require a Fee to enter the venue and a separate fee to participate in one or both tournaments:
- Entry Fee: 10 euro for all 3 days
- Tournament Fee: 15 euro for one Tournament. 30 for both Tournament
Payment: We will announce the payment details as soon as possible. We are looking for a better and a more comfortable payment system for the players. We will keep you in touch.
Guest Players:
Thanks to the support of the German tekken community who donated a lot of money for this event, and hoping we could get more so we can invite at least 5 guest top tekken 6 players outside Europe: We are looking for 2 Koreans, 2 from USA and one or maybe 2 from Japan: We will start a countdown soon, and every week, we will have an announcement revealing one of those players… so stay tuned!
Of course we will try our best to invite top super street fighter Players from Japan Korea or USA as well…
The announcements don’t consist only of revealing players but many other surprises. So stay tuned…
If you want to support our event and make it even bigger and better, we would be so thankful if you could help us with a small donation.
We promise that every cent and euro will be invested only for the players flights, organization, prints, hardware ect… But not for the staff.
